Kentucky Medical Marijuana Doctors
How to Find a Medical Marijuana Doctor in Kentucky
Is weed legal in Kentucky? The answer is yes! With Kentucky's medical marijuana program recently launched, people with a qualifying medical condition across the state are actively exploring and requesting to be shown how cannabis can improve their symptoms and overall quality of life. To this end, many Kentuckians are hungry for knowledge about what will happen next since the medical marijuana bill passed in the Bluegrass State. Medical marijuana is legal in Kentucky, and we're ready to help you!
There are thousands of qualifying patients applying for their marijuana card by meeting with one of our medical marijuana physicians at either our Lexington or Louisville office. We’re here to support the people of Kentucky who need medical marijuana, in their search to find trustworthy, compassionate and knowledgeable state licensed physicians. Our doctors have taken cannabis-focused medical education coursework and are prepared to discuss and recommend medical marijuana. Our offices are staffed with state-approved, licensed cannabis certified marijuana doctors that can perform your evaluation. It will last as little as 10-15 minutes, and, if appropriate, the doctor will write medical marijuana recommendations.
Which Medical Providers Can Certify Me for Medical Marijuana?
The medical provider must be a doctor of medicine licensed in the state of Kentucky, be in good standing to practice medicine in Kentucky, and have a bona fide physician-patient relationship with the patient they are certifying for treatment with medical cannabis. That's where we come in!
When Does the Physician Certification Expire?
Once you get the physician certificate, you have 30 days to submit your certification to the state. After that, you'll receive your medical marijuana card. With your card, you'll be protected by the law, and you'll be able to access medical marijuana dispensaries as soon as they open.
At Kentucky Marijuana Card, part of our service will include making sure that once you receive your recommendation for medical marijuana, your information is submitted to the proper Kentucky regulatory agency. We will be with you every step of the way to make sure all your requirements are fulfilled and processed in a timely manner, so you will have access to your physician recommended medical marijuana as soon as possible!
